(Higgins & Associates) is a multi-disciplined engineering and architecture firm headquartered in the Denver, Colorado metropolitan area, with an additional office located in the Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), Texas metropolitan area, that provides forensic engineering, architectural consulting, expert witness, construction quality assurance and cost consulting services to the insurance industry, law firms, contractors, and commercial/residential property owners.

In response to a significant increase in demand from our clients, we are seeking a recently graduated Architect In Training to conduct accessibility reviews, forensic investigations, building repair design, computer aided drafting, and quality assurance observations for multi-family and residential buildings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform field inspections, required site visits and conduct site investigation activities in conjunction with other professionals on staff
- Perform third party reviews of multifamily projects for compliance with accessibility requirements
- Assist in developing repair plans for repair and rehabilitation projects
- Develop reports detailing opinions based on sound technical knowledge supported by industry best practice, building codes and regulations
- Use excellent communication skills to ensure deadlines and cost targets are met
- Collaborate with other team members to produce deliverables
Skills, Capabilities and Experience:
- Knowledge of building codes as well as knowledge of building enclosure design principles
- Knowledge of accessibility requirements, including ADA, FHA, UFAS and A117.1
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines while remaining detail and quality focused
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Bluebeam Revu
- Strong writing skills
- High level of interest in the technical aspects of the profession
Education/ Formal Training Required:
- At least two years’ experience in architecture or a related field
- Experience in multifamily residential building design and construction is a plus
- Four-year architectural degree preferred or a combination of education and architectural experience

Compensation:
- $55,000 - $80,000 annually, depending on experience
